Portion of EDSA Southbound in Pasay Closed to Traffic This Weekend
A portion of the EDSA southbound lane in Pasay City will be closed to traffic this weekend to give way to the unloading and assembly of four new vehicles of the Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3).
In an advisory posted Thursday in the official Twitter page of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the agency said the innermost lane of the EDSA southbound near the MRT-3 Taft Avenue Station will be closed to traffic from 8:00 p.m. Saturday until 3:00 a.m. on Sunday.
The said portion will again be closed on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The road closure seeks to ensure the safety of motorists during the said operation.
The MMDA advised the public and all concerned motorists to take alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion in the area. (PNA) FPV/BNB
