Police Identifies Suspect in Kidnap-slay Try
The Cebu City Police Office Tuesday has identified one of the five suspects in the attempted murder of businessman and his family in Barangay Labangon, Cebu City.
City Police Office director Sr. Sptu. Mariano Natuel Jr. named one of the suspects as Aghakhan Dianalan, a resident of Barangay Guadalupe. Natuel said that based on their investigation it was Dianalan who rented the Toyota Vios and Innova vehicles allegedly used by the suspects.
Aghakhan reportedly rented the two vehicles for P4,000 each from Marlon Amante, who owns a garage in Barangay Tisa, and at the same time a middleman of a rent-a-car business, where Aghakhan rented the vehicles.
Meanwhile, as of Tuesday morning, Natuel said a manhunt operation against the suspects is still being conducted following reports that the suspects are about to move out of the province.
Businessman Dr. Rico Medina, 57, owner of the Medina College in Ozamiz City; his wife, Arlene, 56; his son, Benjie; and their bodyguard, Allan Dake, 36, were on board a Toyota Fortuner when they were cornered by a Toyota Vios and an Innova at past Monday midnight.
They were, however, able to escape from their attackers and drove off to their home in Barangay Labangon.
