PNoy Echoes Lenten Message
“Let the love of Christ inspire each one toward a better Christian life”
President Benigno S. Aquino III emphasized this in his message to Filipinos and Christians in this year’s observance of Holy Week.
In his Lenten message released on Holy Wednesday, President Aquino said,
(The love of Christ should serve as an inspiration to everyone so we could all be guided toward a better Christian life.)
(Like Jesus Christ, each one of us must be prepared to make his own sacrifices for the good of the others, even as we are faced with many obstacles en route to the straight and narrow path.)
President Aquino underscored that the values of humility, zealousness, and trustworthiness should be practiced not only every Holy Week but throughout one’s lifetime, as embodied by Jesus Christ.
