PHLPost Opens Tabogon LGU Postal Station in Cebu

In its continuing effort to make the postal service more accessible and convenient, the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) Area V- Central and Eastern Visayas opened another LGU Postal Station located in Tabogon, Cebu province.

On hand to formally opened the Post Office are: from (left to right) Tabogon Chief of Police, PCPT Florencio Cabanlit Jr., Municipal Administrator, Ronnie Hingco, Mayor Francis Salimbangon of the Municipality of Tabogon, Assigned Postal Station Teller, Mary Jane Ornopia, PHLPost Area 5 Director, Marilyn O. Alcoy, (at the back) are Acting/Support Service Manager, Elpidio A. Judaya Jr., Chief/Adfin Division, Mary Grace B. Gilbuena, Marketing Assistant, Shalmen Ibale, Executive Secretary, Angelica Lucernas, Carmen Post Office Postmaster, Sheila Booc, Cluster Supervisor, Philfred Batucan, and Driver, Quirico Estrera.

“I would like to thank AD Alcoy of Area V, for inaugurating the Tabogon LGU Postal Station which shall be under the supervision of Carmen Post Office in Cebu Province”, Postmaster General Luis Carlos said.

He added, “I believe the Post Office can do so much in bringing daily convenience in the lives of the Filipinos by means of this partnership with the Local Government Units, in order to expand PHLPost accessibility, bringing the Post Office closer to the community.”

“In an effort to digitize and modernize the services of the Philippine Post Office, we launched early this year a new range of innovations to improve the operations and delivery of the country’s postal system such as the establishment of Barangay Postal Stations nationwide; the implementation of the new seven-digit alphanumeric Zip Code PH, which will standardize the addressing system in the country; and the further opening of next-day delivery hubs that will cater to more SMEs to help grow their businesses.”, Carlos said.

Area 5 Director Ms. Marilyn Alcoy said that public can conveniently and quickly mail letters and express packages, buy stamps and other philatelic products, apply for Postal ID, and send Express mails, postal cards, and so much more. (MCN)
