PHL Storm-free Until Monday — PAGASA

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Friday said the Philippines will experience a storm-free weather in the next three days.

In an interview, PAGASA weather forecaster Robert Badrina said that is no weather disturbance seen near the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

However, Badrina said one to two tropical cyclones may still affect the country this month of November.

The next tropical cyclones will be locally named “Marilyn” and “Nonoy”, the 13th and 14th tropical cyclones to affect the country this year.

He added easterlies continues to prevail over the eastern section of the country.

For Friday forecast, cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over Bicol region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

It added moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the east to northeast will prevail over Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.

The state weather bureau has not issued a gale warning as fisherfolk are safe to venture into the sea. (PNA) JBP/CLTC
