Philippines Nominated for Seven Awards at World Travel Awards 2024

The Philippines, known for its stunning tourist spots in Asia, is up for seven big awards at the 2024 World Travel Awards (WTA).

Included in the nominations are categories like Best Beach Destination, Dive Destination, and Island Destination, with famous places like Intramuros, Boracay, and Cebu also in the running.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) is also nominated for Best Tourism Board in Asia, showcasing their dedication to promoting the country’s diverse tourism.

Thankful for the nominations is Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, who mentioned they help promote the many tourist attractions and create job opportunities in the country.

Frasco also highlighted recent wins, like the Philippines being the top Dive Destination for several years and winning Destination of the Year from TripZilla.
