PHILBEX Cebu 2016: Gathering the Industry’s Finest

More than ever, the need to boost and sustain this onward growth and development within the industry is crucial. Fuelled by the need to address the needs of the region’s dynamic construction and design scene, Worldbex Services International, the country’s leading events and expositions organizer remains steadfast in its commitment as it returns with the 13th instalment of PHILBEX Cebu.
Officially opening its doors to the public last September 15, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the venue lobby. In attendance were Worldbex Services International’s very own Joseph Ang, Levi Ang, and Jill Aithnie Ang alongside esteemed guests, Head of Investments and Promotions Office Mr. Benjamin Yap representing Gov. Hilario Davide, Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale, Mayor c Guillas, and Herbert Buot of the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders’ Associations.
Headlining the theme of “Uniting Strong Foundations”, this year’s installment prides in gathering the most influential players of the region’s construction and design industry all under one roof. In doing so, PHILBEX Cebu 2016 seeks to elevate the standards of the industry as it inspires ingenuity and excellence among its community.
Slated to occupy 1,158sqm of exhibition space with a projected visitor count of 25,000, PHILBEX Cebu 2016 is certain to not only entertain but also provide valuable insights for Cebuano homeowners, designers, architects, and industry professionals. With 100 participating companies, attendees can expect no less than an all-inclusive and dynamic trade show experience.
Apart from a wide array of unique product and service innovations, also highlighting this year’s show are the must-see event highlights and stage activities. During the opening day, the winners of the first-ever Projéto Design Competition were announced. An open contest for all aspiring designers, the competition sought to discover new talents and link them up with opportunities in the industry.
Without a doubt, Cebuano design takes center stage at this year’s show. Other event highlights include the Interior Designers Gallery, where attendees can marvel at the latest furniture designs. Over at the Architect’s Gallery, not to be missed is the City of Tomorrow exhibition, a scale model metropolis of tomorrow’s urban landscape. An intersection of form and function, visitors may take a closer look at some of the most state-of-the-art building and construction innovations in the market at the Worldbex Lab and the Furniture Gallery as presented by Murillo Furniture.
