PH Media, Info Officers Undergo Broadcast Training in China

About 30 government and private media practitioners and information officers currently undergo broadcast training in China.

National Radio and Television Administration Deputy Director Zhou Jihong said the seminar will serve as a platform for more exchange and sharing of the two countries’ experience in broadcast industry.

“I am positive that you will gain friendship and new perspectives and push forward exchanges and shared development in radio and television sector during this three-week seminar and visiting events,” Zhou said.

For the past three years, warm China-Philippines ties has resumed and upgraded to a new level.

Practice has proved that the two nations occurrence to the good neighboring countries is the only right path welcome by all people.

China is willing to continue strengthened cooperation with the Philippines on news exchange, program production, technology research and development, industrial development and human resources construction to achieve win-win and common development.

In her presentation before the delegates, Zhou explained the development timeline of China radio and television sector, industry development and management system and mechanism, internet audio-visual products and program management, technology and practice, and international exchanges and cooperation.

She said the Chinese government recognized the importance of the role of media in the development of politics, economy, culture and society development.

For her part, Philippine delegation head Vinci Beltran thanked the Chinese government for the P140 million worth of communication equipment and additional P140 million worth of fund for the establishment of the communication centers in the Philippines.

The Chinese Embassy also donated an additional P15 million or around two miilion Yuan worth of information technology equipment to the Presidential Communications Operations Office to help improve its services.

Beltran said that as the world continue to change presenting greater challenges which demands better communication strategies, the two countries are committed to work together for a brighter future of its communication and media industries. (CLJD/VFC-PIA 3)
