PH Logs Lowest New Cases of COVID-19 in 3 Months
The country only logged 3,656 new cases COVID-19 as of October 20, 2021 — the lowest daily log of new COVID-19 cases in three months.
As of October 20, the active cases of COVID-19 is 67,061. Around 77.9% of the active cases are mild, 6.8% are asymptomatic, 2.0% are critical, 4.6% are severe, and 8.69% are moderate.
Out of the 42,296 tested, only 11.6% were positive for COVID-19.
Moreover, the country also logged a low number of recoveries and deaths due to a technical issue with COVIDKaya. The Department of Health (DOH) said in a Facebook post that the additional recoveries and deaths will be reflected in the case bulletin in the following days.
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is resolving the issue as of writing.
