PDRRMO Inspect Schools
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) conducted an inspection in schools and roads in the province of Cebu.
PDRRMO officer Rhee Telen Jr. said that they checked all the features of every school buildings and facilities to make sure that it’s safe in case of natural calamities.
Telen also said that they already secured the safety signage in roads to guide students in going to school.
“Ang mga early warning signs among gi sure nga naka place gyud siya (We made sure that early warning signs are situated properly),” Telen said.
The PDRRMO also distributed educational materials to teachers like CDs and handbooks.
The distribution of educational materials is part of the emergency plan of the PDRRMO.
The CD contains information on what to do in case of emergencies like typhoon, earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruption and many more.
The CD has an audio and video presentation.
There were approximately 1,000 copies prepared by the PDRRMO to be distributed to different schools and institutions. (MLC)
