PDEA 7 Confirms New Potent Illegal Drug ‘Fly High’ Now Sold in Cebu

(PNA) — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7 has confirmed that a potent new illegal drug called “fly high” is now being sold in Cebu.

PDEA 7 Intelligence Officer Mark Maramba said fly high, also known as “party” or “superman” has harmful effects on the user, which lasts up to four days.

It is a combination of methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu, and Sildenafil, a drug used to treat erectile dysfunction.

Maramba said the user will not be able to sleep and will lose appetite.

For male users, they will have a constant drive for sex.

Like other illegal drugs, an overdose may cause the user’s death, he said.

Maramba said they confirmed the illegal drug is now sold in Cebu after they arrested for the first time in a “buy-bust” operation two men who were allegedly selling “fly high” and confiscated 67 capsules from them.

Out of the 67 capsules seized from the suspects, 57 had fly high contents while the other 11 capsules reportedly contained shabu, based on the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory results.

The illegal drugs reportedly amounted to P100,000.

The black and red-colored capsule were reportedly sold at P1,500 each.

Mark Maramba said they are already monitoring areas where the drug may be in circulation. (PNA) CTB/ EB
