PBOC Ruled Recess Pending CF Card Replacements,ER Transmissions

The Provincial Board of Canvassers (PBOC) announced a recess late afternoon Wednesday and will resume May 16, Thursday at 9 a.m. while expecting the arrival of the two compact flash (CF)cards replacement from Manila.

According to the canvassing body, two replacement of compact flash (CF) cards are expected to arrive from Manila on May 16 at six in the morning. Those two were intended for the towns of Compostela and Catmon.

The board ruled the recess while waiting for advise from Manila for another compact flash (CF) card replacements for the towns of Carmen, Danao, and San Francisco.

The PBOC also said that 18 cities and municipalities were still unable to transmit their respective election returns until morning yesterday while half of the number of said cities had already made their transmission Wednesday just before the day ends.

As of 5:40 p.m. yesterday, the large screen display at the Capitol social hall manifested that 35 out of 51 cities and municipalities has successfully transmitted their ballots to the PBOC which is equivalent to 1,073,159 votes or 68.62% of the total number of election returns.

Cebuanos are still waiting for the remaining 31.38% or 872,182 untransmitted election returns.
