PB Approves Financial Assistance for More Rehab Projects

At least 30 barangays will get projects through the 20-percent development fund of the Province.

The Cebu Provincial Board (PB) approved several resolutions last March 16 for the implementation of various projects with a total amount of P1,818,387 million.

Most of the barangay projects involve rehabilitation and reconstruction of buildings, construction and improvement of water systems and street lighting.

Vice governor Agnes Magpale endorsed a resolution for eight projects amounting to P774,382 for the construction of evacuation buildings in Cansaga, Consolacion and Tuburan, completion of multipurpose buildings in Manguiao, Asturias and Looc Ginatilan, construction of water systems in Minolos, Barili and Tapon, Dalaguete, street lighting in San Jose, Camotes, and purchase of 250 cement bags for river rip-rapping in Manduang, Minglanilla.

Through PB Raul Alcoseba’s resolutions, Sibonga barangays, such as Bagacay, Bato, Bahay and Simala, will receive financial assistance amounting to P130,000 for rehabilitation of two basketball courts, a day care center and construction of multipurpose building while Barangay Bugho, San Fernando will received an amount of P30,000 for construction of water system.

Sitio Pobreng Bungtod in Barangay Can-asujan, Carcar City can now have decent potable water supply worth P50,000.00, a resolution supported by PB Julian Daan.

PB Alex Binghay grants P100,000 for the multipurpose building in Barangay Guibungan, Barili.

For the 4th district, P70,000 worth of financial assistance will be given to Barangays San Isidro and Kal-anan in Tabogon; P110,000 for Barangays Kawit, Lamintak Norte and Lamintak Sur; P60,000 for Barangays Kayam and Anapog in San Remigio and P100,000 for Barangay Calape, Daanbantayan through a resolution endorsed by PB Sun Shimura.

The amount given will be for the installation of potable water system, construction and rehabilitation of multipurpose buildings and completion of new barangay road.

PB Member Joven Mondigo’s resolution was approved for the re-alignment of P25,000.00 financial assistance to Barangay Manlagtang, Tabogon originally intended for the concreting of tennis court to rehabilitation of community stage.

A resolution endorsed by PB Member Thadeo Ouano was approved authorizing Gov. Hilario P. Davide III in behalf of Province of Cebu to enter into an agreement with Basic Means and Concerns Credit Cooperative (BMCCC) of Barangay Labogon, Mandaue City for the funding of cooperative’s livelihood projects worth P100,000.

PB also grants PB Member Celestino Martinez’s resolution to extend financial assistance worth P30,000 each to Barangays Liboo, Tupas, Palanas and Panlaan in Ronda for road construction and rehabilitation while P100,000 will be given to Barangay Consolacion in Dalaguete for the roofing of multipurpose center, P99,005 is set for the construction of Day Care Center in Montpeller, Alegria and P50,000 for the multipurpose drying pavement in Barangay Guadalupe, still Alegria.
