Parklane Dedicates Christmas for the Environment
Cebu Parklane International Hotel brightens up the Christmas season with their Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony held last December 3, 2013 at the hotel lobby.
The spry evening was accompanied by the soothing song numbers of the Fidelis Choir. Parklane Hotel General Manager Cenelyn Manguilimotan introduced the “Once Upon a Christmas” program to honored guests, the management and travelers staying in the hotel which focused on caring for the environment.
Made out of recycled bottles, the gigantic Christmas tree signifies faith, hope and love which were acknowledged by Basil Ting, president of Parklane Hotel, Hon. Agnes Magpale, vice-governor of Cebu and Eugenia Ting, mother of Parklane Hotel.
Candles were lit and a moment of silence was observed in the wake of the recent typhoon that hit Visayas.
Parklane’s official Christmas I.D. was also showcased in the ceremony which featured an original composition entitled “Light a Candle” sang by Parklane Hotel Marketing and Communications Officer Tara Tricia Merced.
Then came the most awaited part of the event, the Christmas Lighting Ceremony which also featured a grand dance number from the Mactan Dance Troupe showcasing enchanting characters like fairies, an elf, dancing trees and animals, and a wizard which wand off his magic wand towards the Christmas tree to light it up.
