PAL Announces Flights to Be Affected by Cebu Airport Runway’s Repair
Some flights of the Philippine Airlines from and to Cebu will either be delayed or cancelled from Sept. 1 to 21, the flag carrier announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The flights will be adjusted to give way to the repair and rehabilitation of the Mactan–Cebu International Airport’s runway 04/22 during this period, PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said in a social media post.
Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) spokesperson Eric Apolonio told the Philippine News Agency (PNA) that CAAP has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) dated Aug. 21 to Sept. 20 regarding runway 04/22’s closure.
“Closure will only be from 1:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. to give way for repair, overlay of asphalt,” he said.

“Passengers of cancelled flights have been ‘reprotected’ on next available flights and have been notified via email, call, or SMS,” Villaluna said, adding that passengers of the re-scheduled or re-timed flights have also been informed.
All other flights outside this window period shall remain operational, she said.
