Paglaum Scholarship Interview Will Start on June 3

The “Paglaum” Scholarship Program of the Cebu Provincial Government will conduct an interview for new applicants.

The scholarship program was established through an ordinance and its main goal is to help indigents who don’t have the means to go to college.

“Paglaum” means hope, meaning it brings hope to individuals who seem to find it difficult to look for a decent education.

Outgoing Vice Governor Agnes Magpale reminded the applicants to acquire their requirements as soon as possible to avoid hassle and to identify if they are qualified or not.

As of the moment there are 1,300 scholars and the Provincial Government allocated P20 million for the said program.

Meanwhile, there are 500 new slots for aspiring scholars.

Once qualified, a scholar will receive P10,000 tuition assistance and P1,500 monthly allowance. (MLC)
