Expect cloudy skies with light to moderate rains over parts of Mindanao on Thursday, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its advisory, PAGASA said the Trough of Low Pressure Area (LPA) will affect Eastern Mindanao while the Ridge of High Pressure Area (HPA) will affect Northern Luzon.

Due to trough or extended cloudiness of LPA, the CARAGA and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms.

PAGASA said the regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Ilocos will experience partly cloudy skies while the rest of the country including Metro Manila will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds from the east to southeast will prevail over Northern Luzon and coming from northeast over the rest of the country.

Coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate. (PNA) LGI/CLTC
