PAGASA Tracks LPA off Mindanao; Rain over Vis-Min, Mimaropa
PAGASA is tracking a potential cyclone – a low-pressure area – east of Mindanao.
In its 5 a.m. bulletin, state weather agency said the LPA was estimated at 295 km east of Mindanao as of 4 a.m., situated along the Inter-tropical Convergence Zone across Visayas, however, it did not say how likely the LPA is to intensify into a cyclone.
For Friday, PAGASA said cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms are expected over Mimaropa, Visayas and Mindanao.
It added that Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening, it added.
PAGASA also said that light to moderate winds from the southeast to south will prevail over Luzon and coming from the southwest to south over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate, it added.
