Expect rains in the eastern section of Luzon due to the tail-end of the cold front, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

”The tail-end of a cold front will affect the Eastern Section of Luzon,” PAGASA said in its 5:00 a.m. weather bulletin Friday.

The tail-end of the cold front serves as the front boundary of two air masses, hot and cold, that produces clouds and rain.

PAGASA said the regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Bicol region and the province of Aurora and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms while the rest of the country including Metro Manila will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

It added moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast and east with slight to moderate seas. (PNA) FPV/CLTC/EDS
