PAGASA: Southwest Monsoon to Bring Rains Over South Luzon, Visayas
The “hanging habagat” or southwest monsoon will bring rains to southern Luzon and Visayas on Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the state-run weather bureau said cloudy skies, including light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms, are expected over western Visayas, along with the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Mindoro, Palawan and Negros Occidental.
The remaining areas of the country, including Metro Manila, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, as of 4 a.m., a low pressure area was spotted off Dagupan City in Pangasinan.
Moderate to strong winds from the southwest will prevail throughout the archipelago. Coastal waters will be moderate to rough. (PNA) JMC/JLD
