(PNA) — The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Tuesday that  the country will remain storm-free in the next three days.

In an interview, PAGASA weather forecaster, Fernando Cada, said that the agency has not seen any weather disturbance near the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) that may develop into tropical cyclone within the next three days, until Friday.

He added that the agency monitors a cloud cluster which has slim chance to develop into a low pressure area.

Cada said that most parts of the country is projected to have sunny to partly cloudy skies on Tuesday as the easterlies continue to be the dominant weather system affecting the country.

He said that the easterlies or warm winds from the east are affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon and Visayas.

Cada noted that due to strong to gale force winds associated with notheasterly surface windflow, the sea condition will be rough to very rough in the western seaboard of Northern Luzon.

”Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves,” he warned.

In its Tuesday forecast, PAGASA said the whole archipelago will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over the northern and western sections of Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.

The temperature in Metro Manila for Tuesday will range between 23-34 degrees Celsius.

Monday’s maximum temperature in Metro Manila was at 34.0 degrees Celsius recorded at 3 p.m. in PAGASA’s Science Garden in Diliman, Quezon City. (PNA) LAM/CLTC
