PAGASA: LPA Embedded Along ITCZ Affecting Visayas, Mindanao, Palawan
A low pressure area (LPA) was spotted Thursday 4 a.m. at 550 km southeast of Hinatuan City, embedded along an intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) currently affecting Visayas, Mindanao and Palawan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
In its advisory, PAGASA said this will cause cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over the three areas.
The rest of Luzon may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, PAGASA added.
Meanwhile, light to moderate winds will blow from east to southeast over Luzon, and from northeast to north over Visayas and Mindanao.
The country’s coastal waters will be slight to moderate. (PNA) JMC/MCCA
