MANILA, Sept. 2 (PNA) — The southwest monsoon or “hangin habagat” will continue to bring rains to the western part of northern Luzon on Friday, state-run weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

The agency noted in its 5:00 a.m. weather bulletin that the Ilocos region, Apayao, Batanes and Babuyan will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.

Other areas, including Metro Manila, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA further said Luzon and its coastal areas will have moderate to rough seas due to moderate to strong winds from the southwest.

Meanwhile, other areas will also experience slight to moderate seas due to light to moderate winds coming from the south to southwest. (PNA) JMC/JLD
