PAGASA: ‘Habagat’ to Bring Rains to Luzon, Visayas

Luzon and Visayas will experience light to moderate rains on Friday due to the southwest monsoon or “hangin habagat”, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

The state-run weather bureau noted the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, MIMAROPA, Bicol, Western Visayas, including the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas and Quezon will experience rains, along with thunderstorms and cloudy skies.

Metro Manila and other areas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country.

Luzon and its coastal areas will also experience moderate to strong winds causing seas to be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate, coming from the southwest to south, affecting seas to be slight to moderate. (PNA) JMC/JLD
