(PNA) — The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has warned the people of Northern Luzon of the possibility of having 11 to 16 more tropical cyclones to hit the area from mid-June to December 2015.

In her briefing during the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) meeting held here recently, PAGASA NorthLuzon Regional Services Division Head Fredolina Baldonado said such Weather Outlook should serve as warning to all to be ready and prepare their houses and properties for the possibility of experiencing the weather disturbances.

Baldonado revealed that this June, they expect one or two weather disturbances; for July, three to five; three to four tropical cyclones for both August and September; two to three this October; one or two for November; and either one or none this December.

“This weather outlook is based scientifically on what we see on our monitors, and on our observations these past years”, she added.

She also revealed that based from what they observed, directions of these tropical cyclones are westward; northward, northwest, north northwest, or northeast.

She said, her office had already informed all concerned, especially the Local Chief Executives about such report. (PNA) RMA/RCK/SCD/SD DE GUZMAN – PNA STRINGER-CAGAYAN
