Pacquiao’s KIA Team Extends Losing Streak in PBA Commissioner’s Cup Opener
(PNA) – Playing coach Manny Pacquiao was out of the country and his Kia Sorento Team dropped yet another game, extending its losing streak in the PBA Philippine Cup which started Tuesday night at the Araneta Coliseum.
Despite a monster performance of their import PJ Ramos, the Carnival absorbed an 89-100 loss to GlobalPort which dominated the game behind their import CJ Leslie who scored 33 points.
Ramos, a seven-foot-four reinforcement of Kia, had 41 points and 20 rebounds.
It was the Kia Sorento’s 12th straight loss since they won their PBA debut game over fellow expansion Blackwater, 80-66, on October 24, 2014.
In the second game, Meralco Bolts bounced back from scary star to beat crowd-favorite Barangay Ginebra, 85-74.
