P5-M Worth of Drugs Nabbed in Buy-bust Op in Talisay
2 suspected drug peddlers were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Molave Ext., Brgy. Tabunok, Talisay City. Over P5 million worth of suspected shabu were recovered in the operation.
At 8:15 p.m., the buy-bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) under the supervision of PSUPT. Marlu Conag in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEA) 7 commenced.
The buy-bust operation led to the arrest of Analiza Ligan, 31, single with live-in partner and Jonathan Echavez Cabriana a.k.a “Athan”, 28 years old, single with live-in partner. Both arrested individuals are residents of Sitio Ilang-Ilang, Brgy. Lagtang, Talisay City.
The operation yielded 29 plastic packs suspected shabu weighing at 451.20 grams with an estimated street value of P5,324,160.00.
While other items recovered were 1 unit Suzuki Smash color pink with plate number 0701-587766, 2 pieces 1000 peso bill used as marked money and 10 pieces machine copy of 1000 peso bills used as boodle money.
Ligan and Echavez will face charges in violation of section 5 and 11 of Article II of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Arrested suspects are now in custody of Talisay CIty Police. (Aljun S. Cainghog)
