Over P4-M Worth of MJ Uprooted in a Farm Discovered in Balamban
Over P4 million worth of marijuana were uprooted when a marijuana plantation was discovered on Friday, March 1, 2019 in Balamban Town in the Province Cebu. Over 11,000 fully grown marijuana plants were uprooted.
Around 7:30 am, operatives from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA RO) VII, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Battalion (PMFC) of Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO), Balamban Municipal Police Station, and Bravo Company 4th IB of the Philippine Army uprooted over 11,500 fully grown marijuana plants.
Two suspected cultivators were arrested and were identified as Amado Canonera, 56, and Bernabe Pardillo, 46 were arrested while two others managed to escaped authorities.
The uprooted marijuanas had an estimated value of P4,600,000.
Suspects are now detained and will charges in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (ASC)
