Over 500 People Hospitalized in Japan with thermal shock
Tokyo (PNA/Sputnik) — Extreme heat, reaching sometimes 38.6 degrees, caused hospitalization of 530 people, according to local media.
At least 530 people were hospitalized with heat stroke on Sunday in Japan, where in 42 districts the air temperature exceeded 35 degrees Celsius, reaching sometimes 38.6 degrees, local media reported.
According to the Kyodo news agency, four people lost consciousness during the field work, and are currently in critical condition.
Japan’s Meteorological Service said that the heat occurred because of the high atmospheric pressure, and predicted that hot weather was also expected.
On Saturday, 420 people were reportedly hospitalized with heat stroke due to the hot weather. (PNA/Sputnik) JMC/SSC
