Over 1M Govt Procured Pfizer Vaccines Arrived in PH

A total of 1,014,390 doses of government-procured Pfizer vaccine arrived in the country last Thursday.

Out of the total Pfizer vaccines that arrived in the country on Thursday, 813,150 doses arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 last Thursday.

100,620 doses also arrived in Cebu on the same day.

Meanwhile, the other 100,620 Pfizer doses were delivered to Davao on Friday

The country expects to receive over two million Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines from the United States through the COVAX facility by the end of October.

US Embassy in Manila Chargé d’Affaires Heather Variava said that there will be about two million doses of Pfizer vaccines that will arrive next week.

National Task Force against Covid-19 and vaccine czar, Secretary Carlito Galvez. Jr. lauded the United States for the well-needed Pfizer vaccines.

Moreover, the vaccination of children already started in selected hospitals in Manila last October 15.

Galvez also mentioned that they have already vaccinated more than 4,000 children with the COVID-19 vaccine. (ASC)
