Over 146K Filipinos Get Jobs as Gov’t Invests Php 1.6-B in TESDA
Manila (PNA) — A total of 146,731 Filipinos get jobs as the government invested a total of Php 1.6 billion in training through the Technical Education and Skills Development Assistance (TESDA), President Benigno Aquino III said in his 5th State of the Nation Address (SONA) Monday.
President Aquino said the Php 1.6 billion budget for TESDA was through the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP).
President Aquino noted that the said budget has helped 223,615 Filipinos to graduate through TESDA.
The 146,731 Filipinos that were employed after their training through TESDA was 66 percent of the total TESDA graduates.
President Aquino said TESDA continues to help the remaining 34 percent TESDA graduates for them to be gainfully employed. (PNA)
