Osaka Univ. Team Makes System to Indicate Age by Walking Pattern
Osaka (PNA/Kyodo) — An Osaka University institute said Monday that its team has developed an image analysis system that can indicate a person’s age by the way he or she walks.
The system, which can be experienced at a national science museum in Tokyo from Wednesday, is expected to offer information on whether a person’s walking pattern looks younger or older than his or her real age, according to the team at the university’s Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research.
“We hope objective information on walking features will help people keep themselves fit,” Yasushi Yagi, a professor leading the team, said.(PNA/Kyodo) JBP/PJN
