Ormoc Earthquake Felt in Cebu
An intensity-3 tremor was felt in Cebu just before 10 a.m. Monday, sending office employees and students out of their respective buildings.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported the tremor, which was tectonic in origin, was caused by a 5.4-magnitude earthquake that hit Ormoc City, Leyte at 9:41 a.m.
The quake was also felt in Tacloban City, Mayorga in Leyte, and Mandaue City, Cebu (Intensity 4).
Lapulapu City, Cebu and Palo, Leyte also experienced intensity-2 tremors. (LBG/PNA)
