ORIENT Launches Newly Designed Sun & Moon Function Watches
ORIENT announces two new Sun & Moon function models, a fusion of the distinctive daily sun and moon motif with a simple, classic design. Available in both men’s and ladies’ models, the new timepieces expand ORIENT’s pair watch lineup.
The Sun & Moon function illustrates the change of day to night on a 24-hour rotating disk. Earlier ORIENT models with a Sun & Moon display include mechanical men’s and quartz ladies’ watches, however, this latest pair of watch models adopt a new design with a more unified look.
The semi skeleton men’s watch retains the classical style for which ORIENT is loved by customers all over the world. Featuring a slimmed-down case, domed crystal evoking vintage style and warmth, and a dial combining a beautiful sunburst pattern with bar indices, it has been reborn with simple new styling. The new ladies’ watch also adopts a simple, classically designed case and dial to match the men’s model. The case is thinner than previous models for greater comfort. The elegant design, emphasized by the poetic Sun & Moon display, beautifully adorns the wearer with its soft, gentle form.
The new Sun & Moon function series consists of three men’s and four ladies’ models. These include versions with a blue mother-of-pearl dial, and pair watches with matching dial color, case, and leather strap or metal bracelet. A limited-edition 70th Anniversary commemorative pair (1,500 pieces for men’s, 700 pieces for ladies) has a vivid vertical gradation on a green dial, synonymous with the ORIENT Jaguar Focus model, launched by ORIENT in the 1970s, which went on to become one of its most popular timepieces. The combination of gold hands and indices against a green dial with gradation further enhances the 70s vintage look.
