Oil Firms To Hike Pump Prices Tuesday

Oil firms will increase pump prices Tuesday reflecting changes in the international markets.

In separate advisories Monday, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., Seaoil Philippines Inc., Phoenix Petroleum Philippines and PTT Philippines Corp. said they will hike their gasoline prices by 40 centavos per liter and diesel prices by 20 centavos per liter at 6 a.m., March 29.

Shell and Seaoil will also increase their kerosene prices by 10 centavos per liter.

Diesel prices in Metro Manila currently range from PHP21.25-24.62 per liter, according to the Department of Energy’s oil price monitor. It also has a common price of PHP23.00.

Gasoline prices also range from PHP33.65-41.35 per liter, while kerosene has a prevailing price of PHP 38.60 per liter. (PNA) JMC/JLD
