Office Leasing Sees Recovery in Cebu
As businesses steadily recover in Cebu, the demand for office leasing is seen to rise soon.
Colliers International associate director for research Joey Bondoc said that outsourcing companies from the US and other major economies will be the driving force for the recovery of the sector.
Bondoc said that as these major players continue to expand their businesses this would open more jobs for Cebuanos and would also boost the demand for office space.
He also said that Cebu will continue to be a priority for office leasing because of the quality of the workforce, cheaper labor costs, and improving infrastructures.
Colliers director for office services Maricris Joson said that as the country continues to reopen the economy, this would also allow outsourcing companies to let their employees work in the office.
Joson added that with relaxed quarantine measures the demand for office leasing would also recover.
Although working in the office will make a comeback soon, Joson also mentioned that hybrid working setups and work-from-home setups is still anticipated to remain. (ASC)
