NTC Mandates Signal Shutdown
The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) requires both Globe Telecom and Smart Communications to shutdown their cellphone signals during the Sinulog 2020 activities.
The first signal shutdown will be during the fluvial procession on Saturday, January 18 from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. affecting Cebu City, Mandaue City, and Lapu-Lapu City. The second signal shutdown will be on the same day from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. affecting the uptown and downtown parts of Cebu City.
Meanwhile, during the Sinulog Grand Parade on Sunday, January 19, signal shutdown will be from 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Affected areas will be Cebu City, Mandaue City, and Talisay City. (MLC)
