SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon “TOMAS” {MAN-YI}” was estimated based on all available data at 1,495 km East of Aparri, Cagayan (18.2 N, 135.8 E)[OUTSIDE PAR] with maximum sustained winds of 145 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 180 km/h. It is moving West Southwest Slowly. Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern Luzon.
FORECAST: Visayas, Palawan & Occidental Mindoro will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over the Eastern Visayas with moderate to rough seas. Light to moderate winds blowing from the Northeast to East will prevail over the rest of Visayas, Palawan & Occidental Mindoro with slight to moderate seas.
