Lapu-Lapu City has now removed all travel restrictions when entering the city to help the city’s economy recover.

This comes after the Department of Interior and Local Government has decided to no longer require domestic travelers a PNP Travel Authority and medical certificate from their LGU.

Mayor Junard Chan made the announcement Friday night while stressing that public health and safety standards would continue to be strictly enforced, with a fine or community service for violators.

Junard Chan of Mayor of Lapu-Lapu City announced the removal of the travel restrictions while emphasizing that health and safety protocols will still be strictly followed in the city.

With the removal of the restrictions, Lapu-Lapu City will no longer require domestic travelers a letter of acceptance, travel endorsements, travel authority issued by the Joint Task Force Shield, medical certificate, and swab test.

However, the removal of the RT-PCR test as a travel requirement is yet to be clarified by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID). (ASC)
