Fourteen localities removed the swab testing as a requirement for entry for fully vaccinated individuals.

The Department of Tourism announced the latest development regarding the scrapping of swab test as a travel requirement.

DOT Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said the department has been working to ease restrictions and requirements for fully vaccinated travelers going to a destination with high vaccination rates.

As of October 24, these are the following localities that waived the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and antigen testing:

  • Cebu province
  • Lapu-Lapu City
  • Catbalogan City
  • Bohol
  • Iloilo City
  • Negros Occidental
  • Clark Freeport Zone (except areas under ECQ)
  • Subic Bay Freeport Zone
  • Tarlac (except areas under ECQ and MECQ)
  • Masbate province
  • Southern Leyte
  • Tacloban City
  • Maasin City
  • Misamis Oriental

Bohol, Iloilo City, and Negros Occidental require a vaccination certificate from www.vaxcert.doh.gov.ph along with other travel requirements.

For the other localities, travelers are advised to check the respective local governments (LGUs) for travel requirements. (ASC)
