NNC 7 Scales Up Nutrition to End Malnutrition

With the launching of the Scaling Up Nutrition Strategy 3.0 (SUN Strategy 3.0), the National Nutrition Commission 7 (NNC 7) and Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) strives to end malnutrition in Central Visayas.

SUN Strategy 3.0 is the third phase of the program. It involves the creation of SUN business, SUN civil society networks, and SUN academe.

The NNC 7 will be working with their partners and local governments (LGUs) to help them cope with the SUN Strategy 3.0.

Region 7 is also the first region to launch the SUN Strategy 3.0 through the efforts of NNC 7.

After the launch of SUN Strategy 3.0, the NNC 7 aims to align the efforts of both members of the regional nutrition committee and the SUN networks to create and implement nutrition programs in the region.

Covering years 2021 through 2025, SUN Strategy 3.0 will focus on collective, coherent, and evidenced-based action towards accelerated nutrition progress and change.

Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) is a global movement that aims to eliminate malnutrition and all its forms by 2030. Led by governments, supported by organizations and individuals – collective action ensures every child, adolescent, mother, and family can realize their right to food and nutrition to reach their full potential and shape sustainable and prosperous societies.
