New MyBus Route Approved

The municipal council of Consolacion has approved the new route for MyBus.

Once the operation is implemented, MyBus can now travel from SM City Consolacion to SM City Cebu and vice-versa. The said route resolution was endorsed by Municipal Councilor Benjamin Tibon in 2016.

Tibon said that the bus will leave every 30 minutes. Tibon also explained that if the bus will travel from SM Consolacion, there will be a bus stop in the vicinity of Petron gas in Barangay Cansaga before going directly to SM City Cebu.

Meanwhile, if the bus will travel from SM City Cebu, there will also be a bus stop at the ADM Building in Barangay Cansaga before going to SM City Consolacion.

“Maka cater na siya sa atong mga kaigsoonan nga gikan sa Casili ug Poblacion mao ng they will operate during the peak hours mga morning and afternoon (The bus can cater our citizens coming from Casili and Poblacion. Buses will operate during peak hours in the morning and in the afternoon),” explained Tibon.

MyBus will commence their trip at 6 a.m. and end at 9 a.m. In the afternoon, the trip will start from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Fifty (50) pesos is the proposed fare for the said route.

Tibon also revealed that the implementation of the new route will most likely be in the early months of 2020 but the management of MyBus said that they will conduct a dry run before the year 2019 ends.

“This is really the time because we are looking for a mass transport like buses to accommodate passengers,” Tibon said. (MLC)
