New Fire Marshal in Cebu City
After the turnover ceremony yesterday, May 15, Cebu City welcomed its new Fire Marshal.
The ceremony was conducted in the office of Senior Superintendent Gilbery Dolot, Regional Director of Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-7.
Outgoing fire marshal Chief Inspector Noel Ababon turned over his position to Fire Chief Inspector Josephus Alburo who was also a former chief of the Fire Safety Enforcement Section of the Cebu City Fire Station.
Ababon is now the Chief of Regional Operations Division while Fire Inspector Arnel Abella is the new Fire Safety Enforcement Chief.
Ababon explained that they are now preparing for the retirement of Fire Superintendent Ronaldo Orbeta soon.
He added that this is a big challenge for him since he will monitor the whole Region 7 (Central Visayas).
Ababon will also focus on the development of the equipment for operations. (MLC)
