NBA Suspends Season due to COVID-19
The NBA announced that all remaining games for the 2019-2020 NBA Season will be suspended until further notice due to the COVID-19.
The suspension of the season “until further notice” is due to a player testing positive for the coronavirus.
Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz was tested for the coronavirus after an “illness” and was found to be positive for the virus while the Utah Jazz and the Oklahoma City Thunder are mid-game.
Gobert was not in the arena during the said game but has interacted with people present in the game beforehand.
Within minutes of Gobert’s test results going public, the NBA has suspended the NBA season and will “use this hiatus to determine next steps” in facing the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gobert seems to be in good shape though, as reports say that the Utah Jazz center feels “healthy”, with team France teammate Evan Fournier saying the Rudy is “doing good” and reminded everyone not to spread panic.(GFB)
