National Vaccination Days Extend Until December 3, 2nd Round Also Eyed
“Bayanihan, Bakunahan” National COVID-19 Vaccination Days will be extended until Friday, December 3 by the government.
This comes after the request of local government units (LGUs) to extend the vaccination drive to accommodate more constituents that are planning to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
National Task Force (NTF) against Covid-19 advisory no. 112 allows the voluntary extension of the national vaccination days. This was signed last December 1, by NTF chief implementer Carlito Galvez Jr., Health Secretary Fransisco Duque and Secretary Vince Dizon.
The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) also plans to conduct a second round of the national vaccination days on December 15, 16, and 17.
However, the IATF-EID also said that they are yet to finalize the proposal, especially with the threat of the new Omnicron variant of COVID-19. (ASC)
