National Digital Arts Awards 2017 Kicks-Off In Visayas

The fourth installment of the National Digital Arts Awards 2017 (NDAA 2017) kicks-off its Regional Launches in Cebu City last October 14, Friday at Palm Grass Hotel, Cebu’s Heritage Hotel beginning at 2pm. Cebu gets a taste of the first leg of the national awareness campaign for this year’s contest theme: #changeisherenow!

The National Digital Arts Awards is an annual awards aimed at recognizing the talents of young Filipino creatives and providing them an avenue to begin a career in digital art to help their families. The Awards hopes to build a huge community of young people with competencies in digital art and for this year game development.

Partnered for this year’s awards are Globaltronics, Inc. a leading digital out-of-home advertising company based in Manila, Brand Guerrilla Ph, a business and advocacy consulting group and Cebu-based PR Works, a leading PR firm in Visayas and Mindanao. To speak on behalf of the NDAA 2017 in Cebu is Mr. Nato Agbayani, Founder and CEO of Brand Guerrilla Ph, National Organizer of the said awards.

The contest will have its Call for Entries on October 27, where students coming from Senior High School to College will be asked to join the contest which will end on January 31, 2017. There are three contest categories this year: 1) Print; 2) Motion Graphics & 3) Digital Games. Mechanics for the contest will be announced via NDAA 2017’s Facebook page, students may download the said mechanics after the simultaneous Call for Entries, this October.

NDAA 2017 hopes to gather, the best and the brightest of our young digital artists nationwide. NDAA 2017 will be the most inclusive and empowering contest on digital art as it will go around colleges and universities as well as Philippine co-working space to promote the awards and to conduct NDAA 2017 Talks on Digital Art and Game Development across the Philippines.

Other launch dates are as follows, October 18 at Calle Uno Co-Working Space in Baguio City for the Luzon launch, October 21 at DreamWork Co-Working Space in Davao City for the Mindanao launch and finally the Grand Launch and Call for Entries on October 27 in Metro Manila.
