The culinary endeavors in Cebu are growing that locals and tourist should not miss.
To perfectly guide you to these crème of the crop food outlets, from restaurants, pastry shops to dessert houses is the newest local food show that features delectable and mouth-watering food Cebu has to offer.
The food show: Cebu’s Best Gastronomic Goodness” of MyTV, has its reasons why its host must be your new foodie companion.
Mars Espera, a certified food critic, and a food enthusiast anchors this entertaining foodie favorite since its pilot episode last April 26. With his oozing enthusiasm with kitchen stuff, the show becomes the word of mouth of many foodies in town.

With his attractive and chunky stance–most likely who knows more about food– he’s the best person to host a food show.
“I wanted to showcase Cebu as a city with diverse food experiences…I wanted to show people that when you come to Cebu, there’s a feast that awaits you,” he added.
In describing himself as a foodie, Mars quips “My taste bud is so adventurous when it comes to food and, I just don’t settle with one cuisine.”
Mars enjoyed trying new restaurants in the city, and posting photos of food online is just another way to salute the moment.
“I love exploring different unpalatable dishes – you’re not a foodie if you only eat Japanese food…you are a foodie if you’re willing to explore your dimensions and know more about what food in general has to offer for you.” he said.
He added that food has always been his passion and hosting a food show would bring the best of him.
MyTV Creative Director Nath Ibanez, who also considers himself a foodie, said he finds the show interesting because he gets to discover restaurants in the city that he never even thought to exist.
He added that the food show Cebu’s Best Gastronomic Goodness will continue to run its first season until December this year.
The season one is practically finished with the entire episodes, and it’s currently airing its episode 3. This could mean that they have a lot of plates to serve their viewers.
