Municipal Amphitheater to Open in Consolacion

The Muncipality of Consolacion will open the doors of its first ever amphitheater on Monday, October 21.

The P5 million amphitheater is located at the 3rd floor of the Consolacion Government Center (Municipal Hall).

Consolacion Mayor Joannes “Joyjoy” Alegado revealed that the said amphitheater was already in place during the time of her mother, former Mayor and now Vice Mayor Teresa “Nene” Alegado but it needs to be improved since her mother prioritized other agendas back then.

“Actually sa panahon pani ni Mayor Nene naa nani siya pero wala pani siya mabutangi sa iyang mga kabtangan (The amphitheater is already in place during the time of Mayor Nene but the amphitheater still doesn’t have various equipment installed),” Alegado said.

Alegado also added that the amphitheater is a strategic venue for various activities like cultural and artistic activities and educational activities.

The amphitheater has state of the art sound system, brand new projectors and big screens, fully air-conditioned, carpeted and is equipped with good lighting.

It was also known that the seats were imported from Singapore.

The amphitheater can accommodate up to 200 people.

“Nindot pod kaayo ni nga development sa atong lungsod kay kung naa tay theatre mapasigarbohon man sab ta kay talagsaon sa usa ka lungsod nga dunay amphitheater (This is a great development for our town because not all towns have the opportunity to open an amphitheater. We are very proud that our town has one),” Alegado proudly said. (MLC)
