MSWDO-Gandara Distributes Relief Goods to Evacuees

Gandara, Samar- As of December 7, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Gandara, Samar is continuously distributing relief goods to families in 74 evacuation centers in the municipality.

Some of the evacuation centers are : St. Michael the Archangel Church, schools and private houses, among others.

Joy Gantala Asis, social worker officer said that more than 2 thousand relief goods were distributed to families in 74 evacuatiön centers. As of this writing, most if not all barangays, is battling with floods.

Meanwhile, two barangays in the town proper are now oveflooded. These are baragays 14 de Agosto and Brgy. Minda. Both are situated near Gandara river.

Many residents are afraid that if the rain won’t stop, the floodwaters may still rise up. (CBA)
