Motorcycle Taxis To Resume Soon

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has approved the resumption of the pilot study on motorcycle taxis on Friday.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said it is good news for the commuting public as they can now soon be able to utilize their services.

“Mabuting balita po iyan dahil pwede na naman tayong mag-Angkas and Joyride (That is good news we can now take Angkas and Joyride),” Harry Roque said in a news briefing.

However, the guidelines for the said resumption of motorcycle taxis are yet to be released.

The National Task Force against COVID-19 and the Department of Transportation (DOTr) are the agencies tasked to implement and monitor the resumption of the pilot program.

The Technical Working Group (TWG) for Motorcycle Taxis will give an update on this matter by next week. (ASC)
